A Design System Built for Success
MY ROLE
I was responsible for overseeing the UI/UX design of the product and marketing requirements. Although we followed the Carbon Design System guidelines, we customized several elements to better align with our brand identity. Given these deviations, I proposed documenting the modifications. I initiated the documentation of design tokens, including components such as buttons, color tokens, modal positioning, and more. Through numerous iterations and rounds of feedback, the system has become stronger and more aligned with our goals.
RESULT
It empowers us to create consistent, efficient, and memorable experiences while saving time and resources in the long term. It also enables the sales and marketing teams to follow design guidelines when creating presentations, showcasing professionalism to prospects and clients. Additionally, it helps developers easily replicate design elements, saving time for both the design and development teams.
